Specific Responsibilities

Mammalian cell culture and transfection using viral, lipid transfection, and electroporation systems ranging from small scale (100mls) to large-scale (60L)

General cell biology involving cell culture, passaging cell-lines, and seeding flasks and wave bags.

Identify and implement novel methodologies and engineer expression cell lines to enhance protein expression

Lead the expression team and manage expression workflows

Interface with molecular biology, protein engineering and purification teams

Perform experiments with strong attention to detail and documentation.

Excellent written and oral skills are necessary.

Accomplish goals under project team time lines.

Qualifications

Ph.D. and postdoctoral in Molecular and Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.Experience in culturing mammalian cells, transient transfection, stable cell line culture using wave bags and shake flasks is required.Experience in expression of antibodies using CHO and transient expression systems is required.Demonstrated independence in experimental design, execution, data analysis and troubleshooting is required.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people, internally and externally is required.
